I really have enjoyed my HP mini. It works very well. The only thing I was surprised about is that I have to purchase Microsoft office. Other computers I have purchased it was installed so I didn’t think to look for that. So after that price is about 400.00 which still is not bad. I love the small size so I can fit it into my purse.
Super netbook!

Super netbook that works as advertised. Just be aware that you will have to purchase Microsoft Office separately if you want to do Word documents, etc. The netbook does not sit flat with the 6 hour battery, but at keeps it cooler by letting the air flow underneath it. Very happy with my purchase!
Very good laptop

Just received this laptop last week and have been playing with it for quite some time. You can read all the specs above so I won’t repeat any of them. Setting up the laptop for the first time was a breeze. It was just the usual XP questions: time zone, username, password, time / date, if I wanted auto update or not (mine came with win XP , windows 7 was an extra 30 dollars on the HP website). First thing I didn’t like is some of the shortcuts that came on my desktop and the programs that were pre-installed. On my desktop were: Ebay link to their website, 60 day office trial, HP Wireless set up wizard (which is the same thing as what winXP offers so no reason to have it), Norton antivirus 30 day trial and a few other things I clearly didn’t need. The 1Gb Ram and Intel Atom processor loaded internet explorer up fast just so I can download Mozilla Firefox Instead and use that.
For web surfing on firefox, I found the laptop to be very fast and loaded up webpages with no problem. It even loaded up Hulu and played the latest Office episode without lag (this was on lower res and not high def from hulu). With the High def option selected it was a tiny bit slow but not noticeable.
One thing I didn’t like about the laptop was the touch pad. I understand its a netbook, but I had a hard time navigating with it probably because my fingers are so big. The netbook also included an extra OS that is basically a toned down “user friendly” windows that allows you to view pictures, music, skype and open up a web pages. However I do not really see the point of it. It’s just as easy and fast to start up windows Xp from hibernation as booting up this operating system by HP. Often times I would need a feature that was only available in XP so I would have to boot up windows. I could have saved time by just working in windows the whole time.
Overall I enjoy this laptop and I hope some of these points help you choose whether to buy it or not
Great Value!

I’m really enjoying my little mini. I’m getting used to the smaller keyboard, it was a little tricky at first – but it does everything my big computer can do and more. However it is a little slow, even though I put in a 2 gig chip in it. I may splurge on a 4-gig stick attachment one of these days. I’ve seen them advertised. In the meantime, I’m happy to be back on-line at home. The integrated webcam works beautifully. So far, I’ve had no real complaints. The battery is not overly large, as some have complained about. I’ve noticed the color of the display is not as sharp when I’m on the battery. Minor criticism. One review I read complained that the unit runs hot. I’ve noticed that when I have it plugged in it does run hot, so I place something underneath it to protect my lap. But that is after prolonged use, and it isn’t terrible. Actually, I’ve been very happy with how easy it is to use, how lightweight it is and how very convenient. It’s really cute, too.

This was a birthday gift for me. My family has Acer, Asus, Dell (laptops & netbooks)I’ve used them all. I wanted an HP because of the user friendly, full keyboard and the distinctive, intuitive touchpad. I’m not extremely electronic but trying out the various netbooks at Best Buy and Verizon, I found the HP to be straight forward. They are one of the few that have a left and right click..I call it the clickers. But it makes huge difference when I’m used to a mouse. Another HP plus is that this mouse does not get “lost” in transition….no more searching and scrolling for the momentary lost mouse (if you’ve tried others, you know what I mean). You touch the pad and the mouse is right there. I specifically wanted a white netbook (a woman thing) and this particular one has a subtle grey swirl print..love! BATTERY SIZE: NO PROBLEM! People have commented on the bulky battery and yes, it makes the netbook heavier, but essential to longer (6 cell) battery life, (realistically 4+hrs). It seems the battery design (extending slightly over the bottom back edge and rounded) was intentional, its ergonomic and sits perfectly and slightly raised on the desk/table. This netbook is comfortable on your lap and surprisingly, doesn’t get to hot! I chose the XP version simply because the Windows Startup 7 had such mixed reviews. So glad to enjoy a netbook exactly as I needed a netbook to be…effortless and receptive.HP Mini 110-1036NR 10.1-Inch White Netbook – Up to 6.75 Hours of Battery Life
Battery Scam!

I bought this computer mainly for all my school duties. This laptop doesn’t have fade effects, or wallpaper options. But is fast enough and loads up quickly. The main reason why I bought it was because the ad said the battery would last 8 hours.
Well, the battery only lasts 3 hours straight, maybe less with stronger brightness than the minimal. When I called the HP costumer service they said the battery (6 cell) lasted 8 hours as backup time, this means 8 hours with no use whatsoever. But why would I be interested on buying a computer that’s going to be sitting in my house for 8 hours doing nothing? They couldn’t respond to that question but said they were going to change the ads. I haven’t seen that yet.
It’s a good computer, but the battery is as normal as any other computer. Good luck!
so cute!

this netbook is adorable, not only is it pink, and has decorative flower on the front, but its the perfect size! the weight is idea and makes it easy to carry. the price [$339] was superb!! the 6 cell battery isn’t a problem because it actually elevates the netbook making it easier to type on!

The battery is good it does last its very good. I just love this product. It even fits in my purse since its so tiny.
Personal, yes — Computing, no. It’s a $303 paper weight

Shopping? Don’t do this: HP Mini 110 bought 90 days ago. #1 returned Day 2 — battery clip shattered. #2 lasted 87 days — opened & right hinge shattered & made thumb-nail size chip in case. Closed it, left hinge shattered, too. HP answer? Accidental Damage — Not Covered Under Warrany! HP fix @ $290 — retails @ $303! It’s an “accident” to open and close it? Hmmm, true HP is “putting the Personal in Computing?” Personal, yes — computing, no. It’s a $303 paper weight. And, you’ll wait over an hour on hold for Tech Support / Hardware Support to find out you get nothing.

In a Nutshell…
Yes, the 6-cell battery is large and extends below the body of the netbook. However, as stated in previous reviews, it seems to be an ergonomic plus rather than a minus and you won’t get a 6.5 hour battery life with a 3-cell battery, so…
No, it does not come with an internal (or external) dvd-drive. But I watched two 2+ hour movies back to back last night off of my hard drive and battery power only. There was no video or audio lag whatsoever.
Yes, there is some bloatware, there is on every pc sold by a major manufacturer. Keep what you find useful, uninstall or delete what you don’t. Simple.
The bottom line is this…
If you are on a budget, or you need something that is ultra portable with long battery life, than this is for you.
If you want a gaming, multi-tasking, video editing power notebook you’re going to have to look somewhere else, and spend lots more money.
I travel for a living, in and out of airports almost daily. This Mini takes up two thirds less space than my old Inspiron did, and is much easier to unpack/repack at security checkpoints.
I use it primarily for entertainment. Watch movies, play games, listen to music (I use external speakers or headphones) and surf the web. Since I do most of this from a hotel room somewhere overseas, the small size, long battery life and built-in wireless make it the ideal choice.
So for traveling, I can’t think of anything more portable while still getting the versatility of a pc as opposed to say, a pocket pc or smartphone.
It’s okay, but not worth the price.

The mouse pad is kinda funky. The key code didn’t work for Microsoft office.
No DVD player. It is only okay. I should have purchased a little larger computer with DVD/CD-ROM for only a little more cash…
Muy buena

I bought this netbook for my wife, thinking how good it has turned into my HP Pavilion.
I can see has an excellent finish with very nice details (my wife loves)
I bought it with winxp because my wife is accustomed to this, but getting it installed ubuntu netbook remix 9.10 and I can say there are no problems of any kind… now, my wife don’t use xp
is perfect for internet browsing and communication, although the webcam is not very good, it works.
