The Internet is at the center of modern life keeping you connected and informed through email, IMs, RSS feeds, social networking sites and Search. Keeping up often requires time shifting with companion devices like netbooks. Powered by energy-efficient Intel Atom processors, the HP Mini 110 is optimized for Web access and can handle standard productivity apps - but is light enough to carry everywhere at just 2.33 lbs. Its LED anti-glare display reduces reflection that can distract from the visual experience, especially when used outside. The 92% of full-size keyboard enables much more efficient and comfortable use than texting (or typing on smartphone keyboards) for most. Windows 7 makes locating and connecting to hotspots easier and faster than ever. The HP Mini 110 is the perfect device for staying productive, informed and in touch. ....read more

Awesome machine, but wish I got the 6-cell battery

I just got this same laptop yesterday from Verizon, and I wish I would have thought of the battery life. I have managed to run it with the Verizon Mobile Broadband service for around 2 and a half hours on Linux with the 3 cell battery (I may not have set the optimum power management settings and the mobile broadband modem probably consumes a lot of power).

My next purchase will be a six-cell battery, though, cos I love this netbook. Once you get used to the layout of the keys (all keys were about one key left of where I expected them to be), it is a wonderful and zippy little thing.

It runs Windows very nicely, and runs Ubuntu Netbook Remix beautifully (once you figure out how to install bcmwl-kernel-source from the installation ISO). I had no problem installing Ubuntu using a usb drive and unetbootin. Once I had the wi-fi working, I was able to set up the Verizon Wireless Broadband with gobi_loader.

All in all, this is a wonderful laptop that would be even more incredible with the six-cell battery.

Just to give people an idea, I am a django developer, and this has now become my work computer.

    Awesome Little PC

I am extremely happy with my HP mini in pink, from Amazon. It arrived several days before the expected delivery date and was securely packaged. I’ve owned it less than 24hrs, but so far I am pleased with this mini pc. It is perfect for people who do basic functions like surfing the web, checking email, and chatting. I purchased mine mainly to participate in my online classes, while on the go!
